GENERATION
The Last Generation

"What a way to call upon the craze of a thousand men in a prayer in a citadel. What a way to put a woman to shame when she’s just the same as a man in a civil world. What a way to judge upon the game that’s brought upon the fame but we’re built like the rest of them. What a way to live, what a way to live, what a way to live in a survey. Who we are, common tool, big mistake, trusting you. What we ate, are we fooled, might be fake, on a silver spoon. Tragedies come in twos, third time around we adjust the rule, that we’re made for so much more than this, that we’re meant to be more than just the fool.” From the original song “Survey”

I left Lebanon for Los Angeles at the age of 18 to pursue a career in screenwriting, and while I still do write, for pleasure and work, I could only go so long before admitting to myself that my attention, my drive, my pulse have always been in music; late nights when I couldn't deny myself the rush of grabbing a guitar and fiddling, writing whatever tune that came to mind and fine-tuning my skills. The larger-than-life questions that gnawed at me, the emotions that I naively felt only I was exhibiting, the expressions and experiences I had been through all found themselves in the lyrics I was writing. I was liberated from myself. I took to the Hollywood and Sunset Strip and it was a damn good time. When I returned to Lebanon, I reconnected with my childhood friends Mark and Zan and found a brilliant, soulful guitarist in Gaby Dib, and we formed Generation Zee; named for the last generation before a spiritual revolution, an awakening born out of the trials and tribulations we all face in this strange thing we call life.'
